Using Portable Flash Outdoors

As an outdoor photographer, I love the beautiful, sometimes subtle, often bold hues of natural light. After all, there is nothing so magical, wonderful, serene, dramatic, calming, forceful, edgy and peaceful as the diverse illumination that comes from our Sun. The different angles and qualities of light that our setting sun, our rising sun, our partially hidden sun, our totally blocked sun, our mid day sun and our invisible sun give us make for unlimited diversity of photographic opportunities. Our sun provides us with a lifetime of shooting possibilities.
Aside from creativity, I like to think that the four ingredients of a great image are Vision, Anticipation, Technique and Luck. Three of these are elements that we hear about all the time. There are many books and articles about vision and technique that can be found every day in magazine articles and in blog posts. Although they come more naturally to some photographers than to others, mastering these concepts is largely just a matter of time, practice and getting to know your equipment.
What does the ideal income stream of the professional photographer look like? That's an often asked question by those who aspire to become pro photographers and who want to know what area of photography they should focus on. The answer is simple: It should look like the Amazon. No, not the place where you buy everything, I'm talking about The Amazon- the river in South America.
